Microsoft 365 Down:  If you are a Microsoft 365 user, you might have experienced some issues with accessing your online applications today. According to Downdetector.com, a website that tracks outages, more than 15,000 users reported problems with Microsoft 365 on Monday, June 5, 2023.

The affected services include Word, Excel, Outlook, and other online applications that are part of Microsoft’s cloud-based productivity suite. Microsoft acknowledged the issue on Twitter and said it was investigating the cause.

“We’re investigating an issue with accessing Outlook on the web,” Microsoft 365 Status tweeted. “We’re reviewing our networking systems and recent updates in an effort to identify the underlying root cause of the issue,” it added in a later tweet.

This is not the first time Microsoft 365 has faced an outage this year. This is the fourth major disruption since January, affecting millions of worldwide users relying on Microsoft’s services for work and education.

The previous outages were blamed on various factors such as network congestion, authentication errors, configuration changes, and software bugs. Microsoft apologized for the inconvenience and said it was improving its service reliability and resilience.

Microsoft 365 is one of the most popular cloud-based productivity suites, with more than 300 million active users as of April 2023. It offers a range of applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and more for personal and professional use.
